Antique broadside of "La Muerte De Su Santidad Leon XIII y detalles de su penosa enfermedad" (Death of his Holiness Leo XIII and details of his Illness) with etchings attributed to Jose Guadalupe Posada. Published by Antonio Vanegas Arroyo in Mexico City in 1903. Part of the Jean Charlot collection at the University of Hawaii and the Center for Southwest Research at the University of New Mexico. Vincenzo Gioacchino Raffaele Luigi Pecci became Pope Leo XIII on February 20, 1878. His papacy was the third longest in history, lasting until his death on July 20, 1903.
