Description

Daum Nancy Pate De Verre Mythologie Satyr Art Glass Ewer Jar Pitcher France 1960

Stunning pâte-de-verre pitcher in shades of amber and blue-green, transitioning to green. A French creation of remarkable beauty and craftsmanship. Crafted in acid-etched glass by Daum Nancy, it bears the signature 'Daum France' on the base.

Part of the "Mythologie" series dating back to around 1960, this piece is a true antique treasure. The jar depicts a satyr mounting a fish with a wide-open mouth, an image evoking mythology and nature in its purest form. The choice of colors and the pâte-de-verre technique accentuate the beauty of this scene. This ewer has been carefully restored in two areas: on the handle at the bottom and on the protrusion at the top, bringing it back to its original splendor.

This artwork is a testament to the artistic skill of Daum Nancy and an exceptional addition to any collection of artistic glass and antiques. Its artistic value, history, and timeless beauty make it a true treasure.
