Oil painting on canvas signed G. Reiter and dated 1939 on the bottom right corner. The painting shows a pre-WWII view of "St. Nicholas Cathedral" in the Mala Strana district of Prague from Karmelitská street. This piece is a testament to some of the changes that the city had to endure during the Second World War and the collapse of the Soviet Union. Today, there is a building complex to the right of the square that you see in this painting, which houses among other things the Ed Hardy boutique and a McDonald's.
