Aldo Chaparro Winder was born on December 18, 1965, in Lima, Peru. His work primarily focuses on sculpture, design, and architecture. He is especially known for his sculptures made with stainless steel. Currently, he lives and works between Mexico City, New York, and Lima.

Chaparro studied at the Faculty of Art of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and in the studio of Hernán Pazos. After starting to work in Pazos' studio, he decided to specialize in sculpture during his university career. In 1991, he left his country to settle in Mexico, where he later became a naturalized citizen. Upon arriving in the country, he settled in Monterrey, where he taught at the University of Monterrey (UDEM). There, he taught artists such as Mario García Torres, Zélika García, Eduardo López, Benedetta Monteverde, Ismael Merla, and Sofía Hernández.

In addition to his work as an artist, Aldo Chaparro has also been an editor and art director. As director of the Editorial Group Celeste, he produced over 40 publications of contemporary art and fashion between 2000 and 2012, including the influential magazines Celeste and Baby baby baby. His work has been collected by personalities such as Domenico de Sole (former CEO of GUCCI and CEO of Tom Ford), Simon de Pury, Helga de Alvear, and Pierre Huber. Furthermore, it has been exhibited in historic sites such as the Palazzo Pamphilj, the Pantheon of Agrippa, the Church of Santa Clara, and the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, as well as in galleries, museums, and art fairs around the world.

Aldo Chaparro is a versatile artist whose work spans various disciplines and has left a significant mark on the world of contemporary art.
