Ángel Martín is a painter born in Barcelona, Spain in 1932. He joined the Galas de México factory in 1952 and for a short period of 9 months was a resident of this workshop.
He continued to create paintings from his home for Galas calendars, where he extensively depicted religious, rural, and pre-Hispanic scenes. First, he presented them as sketches, and once Santiago Galas approved them, he organized them as paintings.
After his time at Galas, he has continued to work in oil, infusing vitality into his depictions of Quixotes, nudes, and mythological subjects. 12 of his works are housed in the Soumaya Museum, Blaisten Museum, and Telmex Museum in Mexico City.
He is recognized for his contribution to painting, and his work has been widely appreciated in the art world.
